Allison Young – Allison Kallaway Jewelry

March 6, 2019

Allison Kallaway designs slow crafted industrial art jewelry that reflects the inspiration gathered from exploring the world. Her strong metalsmithing and design background began in high school and continued into college when she earned an Art Education degree.

The hills of Fort Collins, Colorado couldn’t contain her wandering heart for long after she graduated.

Allison traveled throughout Europe and lived a short while in Italy before getting the inspiration to become an Art Educator through the Peace Corps. She stayed for twelve years in Africa teaching creative expression of art to young people in Botswana. During that time she married Rory Young and became a mother to her only son.

Returning to the United States allowed her to focus on creating and expanding her art jewelry collection, recently earning an invitation to be an exhibitor at the The Smithsonian Craft2Wear show in Washington D.C.

Surrounded by loving family in Montana’s lower Flathead Valley, Allison now brings expression to the myriad of African, European, and even fantasy design elements that continue to influence her unique style of modern industrial jewelry.
